Just got a copy of 'louie go home'/'12 o-clock july' and it has a promo stamp. I've never seen a Fenton promo before. Cool.

I came across this thread by accident but it brought back a lot of memories so I thought I'd post something. In 1964-5ish I lived in South Haven, MI next door to I believe his name was Paul Nabb who was a guitarist for the Mussies. My brother & I even took guitar lessons from him for a few months (Beatlemania was in FULL swing). I was _very_ young at the time, around 5 or 6 and don't remember too much. Recently I was going through some old boxes and came across a copy of their demo 45 that had "Louie Go Home" and "12 O'Clock July" that he had given to my folks. It has no date stamp on it but it's a genuine Fenton label. It's in pretty rough condition and as I have no turn table that plays 45s anymore, I have no way of knowing what kind of playing condition it's in. The last time I could have played it was on my old Capehart record grinder back in the early 70s. Anyone know what ever happened to these guys???

My dad, Tom Mann, played rhythm guitar for the Mussies. I have a few of their old 45s with Fenton Records. I came across this post by accident really. To my complete surprise someone had posted a video on you toob with 12 o'clock July and Louie Go Home. So, I decided to just search around and see what else I could find. The lead singer is/was Chic Ericksen - he still lives in South Haven. Its really nice that people still remember them and appreciated their music.

I Grew up with Chic and Bill Johnson and the rest of the Mussies, we had the most incredible times together. In fact I just got through chatting with chic and remembering all of the good times and some not so good. Thanks to this web site we are going to get together real soon,.
